World Cup 2018 – Team of the Tournament

Starting XI

GK: Mexerican power (Spain) – Starting off the Team of the Tournament for the S8 World Cup and the last official PCN competition of FIFA 18 is none other than DJRod12, who stringed together a collection of stellar performances in front of net to help Spain win the tournament. He led all goalkeepers with 57 saves, and was also able to keep 2 clean sheets in his 12 caps.

CB: IHernandezI 19 (Morocco) – The first of 3 impressive CBs in our defense, IHernandezI 19 played a major role in Morocco advancing to the title game, playing a big part in arguably the tournament’s best defense. In his 12 caps, he was able to make an impact offensively and defensively, with 4 assists, 8 key passes, and a goal to go along with 26 interceptions and 8 clean sheets, which is tied for the most in the tournament with two of his Moroccan teammates.

CB: qik (Spain) – After a TOTS appearance at River Plate, QIK once again showed why he’s one of the top CBs in FIFA with a TOTT this World Cup with Spain, despite a controversial ban that saw him miss the first 3 games. He played a pivotal role in helping Spain secure the World Cup after his return, collecting 23 interceptions and 7 tackles in his 9 caps.

CB: Matias7 (Morocco) – Joining his Moroccan teammate, Hernandez, is none other than Matias7, who had a very nice tournament of his own as he helped form a brick wall at the back for the Moroccan back line. In his 10 appearances, he helped Morocco collect 7 clean sheets and was also third in interceptions with 28.

CDM: dorseyfurcal18 (Brazil) – For the first time in Season 8, dorseyfurcal18 played on a title contending team and he made his chance count, putting together a very impressive tournament that is well deserving of a TOTT. Dorsey showed everyone that why he is a true box-to-box mid, as in 11 caps he was able to lead the tournament in tackles and interceptions, with 21 and 34 respectively, as well as netting two goals and helping his Brazilian brothers with an assist and 4 key passes.

CDM: Zidane I7I (Morocco) – The second defensive mid in the TOTT, DADJOB was able to commandeer and organize Morocco’s defense from the CDM position. His defensive presence helped immensely, as Morocco had 8 clean sheets in his 12 caps, and he collected the second most interceptions with 30 as well as the third most tackles with 16 to go along with 2 MOTM awards.

RM: Peanut l 7 l  (Spain) – An absolute monster for Spain on the wing or up top, Peanut l 7 l tore teams apart with his ability to create chances for himself and his teammates. He kept defenses up at night, and rightly so, as he scored 9 goals, led the tournament with 9 assists, and was second in the tournament with 28 key passes in his 12 caps.

LM: ILucid Control (Portugal) – An expert in helping create scoring opportunities for his Portuguese teammates, iLucid Control played an integral part in his country making it as far as they did. Despite his lack of fanfare entering the tournament, he made the most of his 9 caps, as he earned 2 MOTM awards and his 8 assists were good for second in the World Cup with his 24 key passes good enough for third.

CAM: Aztecaas (Spain) – A dynamic playmaker and now World Cup champion, Aztecaas was a key player in Spain’s path to international glory as he earned the tournament’s Golden Ball for best player. In his 9 appearances, Aztecaas amassed a silly 10 goals and 8 assists, which was good enough for second in the World Cup and is hugely impressive from the CAM position. He also chipped in 23 key passes and 12 interceptions as well as 2 MOTM awards to show off his true range of skill.

ST: ozil11x (Spain) – The fifth and final member of the champions to make the TOTT is none other than Ozil11x, who put together an impressive passing and shooting display all tournament. The PCN newcomer started off his career with a bang as he led all players with 29 key passes, while also chipping in 10 goals and 6 assists in his 12 caps.

ST: stayhighplaya (Portugal) – The Portuguese captain turned himself into a Portuguese legend with his World Cup performance, reminding viewers of Ronaldo with his magisterial play. While his team may not have made it as far as they wanted to, stay high playa was able to take home the Golden Boot with his tournament-leading 12 goals to go along with 3 assists and 3 key passes in his 9 caps for his country.
