Team Of The Week – Week 3 – Season 12 – Super League

Starting XI

GK: Strikers98 (Benfica) – Kicking off the Team of the Week once again is none other than Benfica’s legendary shot stopper, Strikers98. He has arguably been the league’s most consistent goalkeeper as he has once again shone for the defending Super League champions as in his last 10 matches, Strikers has saved 23 shots and also picked up an insane 10 clean sheets.

RB: eKsiSLe (Atlanta United) – The brainiac of the Atlanta United project, eKsiSLe is looking to bring his club their first ever SL title as they sit in first place at the time of writing. His club has been very consistent and his excellent performances from the back have surely propelled his club even closer to glory. In 8 games, the beret wearing madman has gotten 12 tackles, 14 interceptions, 30 possessions won, 6 clean sheets, and even an assist to secure his place as the starting right back this week.

CB: BOS x Flacko (Manchester United) – Our first center back out of the pairing this week is Manchester United’s stalwart, BOS x Flacko. His consistent play at the back for the Red Devils has solidified their spot in the top six as the season draws to a close. His defensive work rate and ability to win possession back is almost unparalleled as in his past 8 games, he has gotten 19 interceptions, 18 headers won, 31 possessions won, 5 clean sheets, and 1 Man of the Match award.

CB: Libero x34 (Atlanta United) – The silent assassin of Atlanta United has once again made his way into the TOTW after another brilliant set of performances for the Five Stripes. Going into the back end of the season, his leadership and dominant play is going to be key to winning the title for Atlanta United. In 8 games, Libero has picked up 9 tackles, 17 interceptions, 4 blocks, 31 possessions won, and 6 clean sheets.

LB: Mother Kangaroo (Manchester United) – A longtime PCN veteran is back and it is none other than the legendary Mother Kangaroo! Playing his trade for Manchester United, he has helped solidify an already elite defense, potentially turning it into the best in the top flight apart from Benfica. In just 6 matches, Kanga has picked up 2 key passes, 13 tackles, 18 interceptions,

CDM: DADJOB (Real Madrid) – PCN’s residential mountain man has climbed his way back to the top of the rest, earning himself another TOTW honor this season. The Real Madrid manager has led by example for his side as they aim to secure the final spot for the Super Cup. His defensive work has been as dominant as ever, registering 17 tackles, 33 interceptions, and 45 possession won through 8 matches. He also moved the ball extremely well as he has a passing percentage of a 92.86% and even picking up 3 Man of the Match awards.

CDM: Kawaiioniiichan (Chelsea) – Earning himself his first TOTW honor in the top flight is the former Braga and Dortmund defensive midfielder, Kawaii. Although Chelsea’s form has been rocky as of late, he has been one of their few consistent performers as the West London club hopes to secure a top half finish. In 8 games, Kawaii has gotten 1 assist, 22 interceptions, 27 tackles, 45 possessions won, and 5 clean sheets.

RAM: Cozy Bryant (Manchester United) – In a surprising turn of events, the AC Milan legend has traded the Rossoneri for the Red Devils, delivering the final blow to the Italian’s side’s hope of rescuing their season. Nonetheless, Bozy has seamlessly transitioned to life at Old Trafford, earning his first TOTW selection this season. In 9 games, Bozy has gotten 3 goals, 2 assists, 11 key passes, and 25 possessions won.

CAM: DueY I 1 I (Orlando Pirates) – Formerly a defensive mid, Duey is no stranger to success in his short PCN career as he has won a World Cup with Spain and a League One title with Orlando. He is now playing his trade as an attacking midfielder and it is paying off for the South African side as they look to secure their highest Super League finish since returning to the top flight. In 6 games, Duey has picked up 5 assists, 14 key passes, 15 tackles, and 14 interceptions.

LAM: Shmurddaa Pollo (Atlanta United) – Would it be a TOTW if Shmurddaa was not on it? The Atlanta United winger has been arguably their best player this campaign, locking up his third TOTW so far this season, pretty much locking up a TOTS nomination. His creativity is key to a thriving attack as he has gotten 4 assists and 13 key passes while also adding 4 goals, 15 interceptions, and 23 possessions won.

ST: FIFA Talentless (Atlanta United) – POTW – The Player of the Week this week is none other than Atlanta United’s prolific striker, FIFA Talentless. After his debut striker season to spite his haters, he has returned to ATL and is on even better form than his previous campaign. Operating as the lone striker, he is the man that the team looks for goals and there were plenty of them to come by as he scored 12 goals in 8 games. During this time, he also picked up 2 assists, 8 key passes, and 3 Man of the Match awards.

BENCH

GK: Apocryphion (Atlanta United) – The first name on the bench this week is none other than Atlanta United’s shot stopper, Apocryphion. Apoc had been complaining in recent times how he hasn’t faced enough shots and he got a full taste of that, saving 15 shots and also getting 6 clean sheets in 8 games. He also managed to pick up an assist during this time, giving him bragging rights over Strikers and his key pass.

CB: Lil iPurpp (Atlanta United) – Libero’s partner in crime has earned himself a TOTW selection after a stellar showing over the past couple weeks. Purpp moved over to Atlanta after Inter Milan disbanded and has shown why he is one of the best center backs PCN has to offer. In 8 matches, Purpp has picked up 1 key pass, 19 interceptions, 31 possessions won, and 6 clean sheets.

LB: Vanquish l 8 l (Benfica) – Everyone’s favorite mall cop has earned himself his first TOTW selection since his League One days. The outside mid converted to outside back has flourished in his new role for Benfica. In 10 games, Vanquish has gotten 12 tackles, 15 interceptions, 33 possessions won, and 8 clean sheets.

CM: CM9 PT (Benfica) – One of the most lovable players and one of the most dominant DMs PCN has seen in recent times, CM9 has once again made his way into the TOTW after another consistent showing the past few game days for Benfica. In 10 games, CM9 picked up 4 key passes, 29 tackles, 39 interceptions, and 70 possessions won.

LAM: xll Chronik llx (Chelsea) – The second Chelsea player to make it this week is none other than their talisman, Chronik. After successful campaigns with Lyon and AC Milan, Chronik finds himself playing for his boyhood club and has shined under the bright lights of Stamford Bridge. In just 6 games, Chronik found the back of the net 3 times while also adding 2 assists, 8 key passes, 13 possessions won, and 1 Man of the Match award.

ST: IxSTONExI (Benfica) – The Stone Zone has returned to the TOTW once again as he has once again dominated Super League defenses over the past few game days. In 10 games, Stone scored 9 timed with 22 shots on target. He also managed to pick up 1 assist. 9 key passes, and an insane 5 Man of the Match awards.

ST: Unlucky Dustin (Orlando Pirates) – The final player was someone who was not unlucky as they played well and made the TOTW! Okay the bad pun is out of the way so let’s move on. Dustin May have only played 6 games in the period but he shined, picking up 2 goals with three shots, 3 assists, 13 key passes, and 17 possessions won.
