Team Of The Week – Week 2 – Season 10 – League Two

Starting XI

GK: ExetikeGM503 (Marseille) The starting keeper for TOTW2 comes from 2nd place Marseille in ExetikeGM503. During this time period, Exetike has played 5 games and has made an outstanding 34 saves earning him 2 MOTM awards and an incredible 30.80 PER (23.95 PER for the season), seeing him top of the PCN Power Rankings for League 2 GK’s.

CB – TFX Mercx (FC Porto) FC Porto’s TFX Mercx was an easy pick for this week’s TOTW. During the time period, Mercx has played 7 games and made 20 tackles and 19 interceptions helping his side to 3 clean sheets and a respectable 5th place.

CB – KINGLOWEYES (Valencia) The first of our TOTW1 returnees, King has continued his fantastic form into TOTW2. Picking up another 2 assists, King shows he is a clear danger in the box. Yet another 15 passing points show how King contributes to his teams free-flowing attacking football, which sees them atop of League 2.

CB – Macca I 10 I (FC Porto) Another returnee from Week 1, Macca l 10 l makes the starting lineup again. Having played 9 games for League 1 America last season, Macca was an astute pick up for Porto and he is proving his worth in the Dragões backline having made a remarkable 14 tackles and 16 interceptions.

CDM – MISTERBDON (Valencia) Finding himself 2nd in the Power Rankings for League 2, this is also his 2nd TOTW, MISTERBDON has had a wonderful season to date. His form has contributed to his side sitting atop of League 2. Showing he is capable on the ball and when defending, MisterBdon has 5 key passes, 9 defensive tackles and 12 interceptions.

CDM – Maxiinho (Marseille) With 19 interceptions, 8 defensive tackles, 6 key passes and 1 goal and assist, we have another CDM in Maxiinho who is comfortable both stopping and creating chances.

RM – TFX Mahoose (FC Porto) Mahoose started the season with struggling Ajax but has since made his return to his season 9 club, FC Porto. His return has seen him hit the ground running with 1 goal and 2 assist, whilst contributing an impressive 13 key passes as well.

CAM – GOATlas (NY Red Bulls) – POTW Our POTW for League Two is GOATlas. Goat is the 2nd NY Red Bull to receive this reward, but bias can not be seen as a factor when you see this man’s stats. 6 games played, 5 goals, 11 key passes, and 20 passing points. Stats like this will go a long way in helping NY Red Bulls push for promotion.

LM – THEDANKCOUGH561 (Beskitas) The only player outside the top half to make this week’s TOTW, Dank has been integral for Beskitas. He has created 3 goals and 4 key passes in the 5 games he has played with his team in the league in addition to 2 further assists in the club’s cup tie vs Napoli.

ST – oX M A M B A Xo (Valencia) Currently joint top in League 2 for goals, Mamba has been in fine form and has contributed to 13 of Valencia’s 36 goals this season. Mamba was selected for this TOTW more for his contributions to other players rather than his goals. During the 7 games, he scored 3 goals and assisted 6 and made a further 11 key passes.

BENCH

GK – Wiiz GuNSiNgR (PSV) Currently in his 2nd season with PSV, Wiiz has a remarkable 3 clean sheets in 5 games conceding only 2 goals, making 15 saves as well. If he is to keep this form up he will be in the running for a TOTS nomination.

CB – careb3ar0fwar (Beskitas) Another impressive week for Care, he has posted 5 tackles, 13 Interceptions and chipped in with 1 goal scored. Care will be looking to help his team push on and potentially make the starting XI of TOTW3.

LB – Honor Mexican (FC Porto) Another impressive display from a FC Porto defender, Honor has been a defensive rock on the left side of the defense. During his 6 games, Honor has won possession back for his team on 36 occasions and made 15 tackles and 18 Interceptions.

CDM – Digg1ez (FC Porto) Digg1ez has sat in front of an outstanding defense at FC Porto. Digg1ez himself is sat atop the League 2 Power Rankings, having made 17 interceptions and 9 tackles. Digg1ez and his defense is making Porto strong contenders for a promotion push this season.

CAM – ogfearisgod (Valencia) Returning to TOTW2 as a bench warmer this week, Og is continuing his fine form with his Valencia side atop of League 2. Having made 14 Interceptions at CAM shows that the Valencia side play on the front foot with a Klopp style Genenpress. OG also chipped in with 2 assists and 11 key passes.

ST – MarsPaxus (PSV) Currently the league’s top goal scorer with 13 sees him sat 3rd in the Power Rankings. Mars is creating chances for his teammates with 6 key passes and firing goals (4 in last 7) in an attempt to push PSV into the playoff picture.

ST – DirectingGoblin (Fenerbahce) The Fenerbache man Goblin has been bang in form this season, scoring 10 of Fenerbahce’s 19 goals this season. Goblin also added 1 assist and 2 key passes during this time period.
