Team Of The Season – Season 11 – Super League

Starting XI

GK: Phil The Fish (Inter Milan) – Kicking off our Super League TOTS for S11 is the one, the only Phil The Fish from Inter Milan, who continues his record streak and now has earned his 6th consecutive SL TOTS honor. Phil was up to his old tricks once again as he demolished the goalie clean sheet record set just last season with 21 shutouts to go with a league-leading 145 saves, 25 goals allowed, and 5 MOTM in a complete 38 game season. Phil was a key part to stabilizing an Inter squad that had some ups and downs and was a crucial part of their Super Cup victory, and we here in PCN can only be excited to see where he brings his talents to in S12.

CB: Slipkid2 (Lyon) – Another repeat offender from last season, Lyon’s Slipkid2 has firmly entrenched himself near the top of the leaderboards for center backs in PCN as he earns a second consecutive TOTS honor. Slip was an animal all season long at the back for the French club and finished with a robust line of 8 assists, 20 key passes, 83 passing points, 43 tackles, 96 interceptions, 19 blocks (2nd), 170 possessions won against just 65 lost, 42 goals allowed, 11 clean sheets, 4 MOTM, and a league-best 22.29 DEF PER across his full season. Slipkid will be on the move come S12 as it appears manager Smoke Break will be taking his managing talents to League 1, so suitors are probably lining up already to bring the slipperiest kid in PCN home.

CB: Lil IPurpp (Inter Milan) – Arguably one of the best defenders in PCN for several seasons now, Inter’s Lil iPurpp finally has his first SL TOTS honor to go with his growing cabinet of trophies after he helped his team earn another Cup victory in S11. Purpp also set a new clean sheet record for defenders with 21 this campaign, not to mention his 2 assists, 8 key passes, 81 passing points, 34 tackles, 76 interceptions, 12 blocks, 148 possessions won against 73 lost, 25 goals against, and 3 MOTM in a full 38 game slate of action. With rumors of a managerial change or at least large personnel changes at Inter come S12, keeping Purpp around is a must for the Italian side if they wish to mount another title challenge and continue winning silverware.

CB: Prime Libero (Atlanta United) – Our last defender in the starting lineup and another member of our TOTS who repeats his accolade from S10 is x Futty from Atlanta United, who just snuck in ahead of our backup CB to make the starting spot his own. Futty was an immense part of the Atlanta team that ultimately qualified for the Super Cup and won the PCN Cup and his 6 key passes, 60 passing points, 77 interceptions, 11 blocks, 95 possessions won, 45 possessions lost, 23 goals against, 14 clean sheets, and 2 MOTM in only 29 games were a big part of that. Despite missing a handful of games due to moving and dealing with bad internet in a new country, Futty showed why he has become a critical part of an impressive Atlanta team who will be counting on him to continue his good play come S12.

CDM: dorseyfurcal18 (AC Milan) – Tying Phil with his 6th SL TOTS honor is another name that is hard to ignore these days in defensive mid dorseyfurcal18 from AC Milan. Dorsey finally returned to his roots after 3 seasons away from his home in Milan and made his mark on the league once again as he accumulated 2 goals, 2 assists, 13 key passes, 68 passing points, 89 tackles (2nd), 121 interceptions (3rd), 182 possessions won (3rd), 23 goals allowed, 17 clean sheets (T-3rd), and 5 MOTM in 35 matches for his team. Dorsey may have come up just short once again of that elusive SL Title, but he was a key part of Milan’s Royal Cup triumph and looks to build on his season and finally help Milan finish in that top spot in SL come S12.

CDM: Jammmyy (Inter Milan) – Another TOTS spot and another familiar name as Jammmyy rounds out the Inter Milan contingent in this team with this third consecutive TOTS honor for the Italian outfit. Jammy was a model of consistency yet again for his team as he compiled 88 passing points, 69 tackles, 108 interceptions, 162 possessions won, 22 goals allowed, 18 clean sheets (2nd), and 5 MOTM during his 35 games for Inter. Jammy is currently the subject of intense transfer scrutiny and if this is the season that he finally departs the club he’s been at since S8, some team in the Super League is about to receive a gigantic boost to their title hopes for S12.

RM: x Clasie (Benfica) – Our first member of the back-to-back title winning PCN Benfica team to make our TOTS is the incredibly well rounded and steady midfielder that is x Clasie. Clasie the perfect example of what you want in a wide midfielder in this day and age in FIFA as he is equally adept in the attack and in defense as his 4 goals, 7 assists, 19 key passes, 57 passing points, 74 tackles, 83 interceptions, 143 possessions won, and 3 MOTM in just 30 games demonstrate. Benfica is expected to run it back in S12 with a lot of the same core and sweep the SL Titles in 2019, and keeping Clasie around and in the lineup will go a long way towards reaching that goal.

LM: Mapes#6701 (Juventus) – Our lone standout from the SL runners up this season at Juventus, Mapes l 8 l certainly did his part to push his team towards silverware in S11 as the club had its best league finish since S7. Mapes was easily the most productive wide midfielder in PCN this past season as he ended up with 10 goals, 8 assists, 25 key passes, 38 tackles, 59 interceptions, 106 possessions won, and 4 MOTM across 32 games for the Old Lady. Mapes followed up his near SL TOTS appearance in S10 with an even more impressive season this time around which couldn’t be ignored, and I don’t think Mapes is a player who will be going under the radar any longer.

CAM: AyeVols (AC Milan) – Our final member of the Starting XI who made the team last year is our 2nd AC Milan player in creative midfielder AyeVols. Vols had another fantastic season, certainly cementing his place as one of the elite CAMs in all of PCN as he smashed the rest of the league with 46 key passes (1st) in addition to 8 goals, 14 assists (T-3rd), 71 passing points, 88 possessions won, and 4 MOTM over the course of his 35 matches. AC Milan faithful will surely be hoping for another season of their midfield boss, and AyeVols will certainly continue to be a catalyst for good things wherever he plays in the World Cup and beyond.

ST: iflewandowski9 (AC Milan) – Earning his first ever SL TOTS is our final member of the Milan TOTS brotherhood in xBrotherLewy, who has definitely proved himself at this level as he claimed both the SL Golden Boot and a spot in our starting lineup. The current record holder for goals in a season in PCN (50 in League 1 in S8), Lewy has continued to put the ball in the back of the net and was the talisman for the Rossoneri as led Super League with 37 goals to go with 9 assists, 31 key passes, and 7 MOTM in a full 38 game season. Lewy looks set to return for another season with Milan and along with key cogs like Dorsey and Vols do his part in finally bringing that title home.

ST: lupexx49 (PSG) – Our final starter in this season’s TOTS is a bittersweet one as lupexx49 from PSG had an unbelievable send off season in his career with probably the single most valuable effort from a player in SL during S11. Lupe single handedly carried his PSG side out of a relegation fight as he finished his campaign with 36 goals (2nd), 4 assists, 17 key passes, 92 passing points (3rd), and 9 MOTM (T-3rd) in 36 games for the Parisians. If this was indeed his final season in a noteworthy PCN career, Lupe goes out in style with his 3rd SL TOTS and the knowledge that he put everything on the line to keep his only PCN club that he’s ever played for in the Super League for at least another season.

BENCH

GK: Strikers98 (Benfica) – The first member of our bench and the second player from your SL Champions Benfica is the always talkative and rarely boring Strikers98. Strikers missed the first couple of gamedays due to some off the field issues and his club got off to a slow start in his absence, but he finished the season with an impressive 101 saves, 15 goals allowed, and 17 clean sheets (T-2nd) across his 32 matches for the Portuguese side. With two tiles and two TOTS appearances for Strikers in as many seasons, he is quickly on his way towards establishing himself as one of the top keepers to ever grace PCN.

CB: TheTacoKid95 (Benfica) – Our third and final member of the Benfica team to make our TOTS is one of the breakout performers in S12 on defense in center back TheTacoKid95. Taco has been around the league for a few seasons now but has never put up a stat line like he did in S11 with 2 goals, 3 assists, 7 key passes, 54 interceptions, 15 blocks, 94 possessions won against just 53 lost, 22 goals allowed, 17 clean sheets (T-3rd), and 3 MOTM over his 34 games for the champs. With a SL TOTS and Title to his name, Taco is free to talk any kind of smack he wants to and add to his resume with another fine season in S12 on FIFA 20.

LB: iiiBadger (Tottenham) – The last defender and only fullback to make this season’s collection of top SL players is iiiBadger from Tottenham, who was an easy choice to make the team after a breakthrough season. Badger did a little bit of everything for Spurs as he compiled 2 goals, 2 assists, 8 key passes, 64 tackles, 71 interceptions, 140 possessions won to 92 lost, 51 goals against, and 10 clean sheets in 36 matches. While the fullback position might be a dying art in FIFA 19, Badger shows that there are certainly some quality left backs and right backs out there in the clubs community, and with a new FIFA he could help lead the 4 back brigade back to prominence.

CDM: I KRAK I (Lyon) – Just narrowly slipping in ahead of some other quality players at the DM position to make our bench is the infamous l KRAK l from Lyon, who had arguably the best season in his long PCN career. Krak earned his 3rd ever SL TOTS on the back of leading the league in tackles (97), interceptions (133), and possessions won (200) to go along with his 2 assists, 70 passing points, 36 goals allowed, 8 clean sheets, and 3 MOTM over 36 games in S12. Crack may be whack, but KRAK is anything but as he spent all of S11 destroying opposing attackers on his way towards earning another TOTS honor to put in his cabinet.

LM: Criminal Casper (Chelsea) – Our final midfielder to make this year’s SL TOTS is a name unfamiliar to some in the PCN universe, but Chelsea’s Criminal Casper proved in S11 that he should be a household name in this league going forward. Casper was not the friendly ghost to other teams this season as he made sure everyone saw him and felt his impact as he ended his first ever SL campaign with 5 goals, 11 assists, 32 key passes, 33 tackles, 65 interceptions, 95 possessions won, and 4 MOTM across his 34 matches. Casper is sure to be a hot name for S12 when teams are looking for wide playmakers, and we will have to wait and see if Chelsea can hold onto a talent like this or if he decides to ply his trade elsewhere in FIFA 20.

ST: xII Chronik IIx (Lyon) – Our final Lyon player and second to last overall, there can be no doubt anymore that xll Chronik llx is one of the elite all-around strikers in the league after he was the only attacker to earn back-to-back TOTS honors in both S10 and S11. Chronik is both equal parts poacher and creative force as he paced the league with 20 assists in addition to nabbing 26 goals, 32 key passes, 76 passing points, and 9 MOTM (T-3rd) in a full season. Chronik is another player who seems to be in need of a new club come S12, and I can’t imagine any other striker on the market who has earned the type of demand that he should have after his accomplishments in S11.

ST: SpicybeatIe (Lazio) – Rounding out the Super League Season 11 Team of the Season after narrowly beating out a pair of other top strikers is left winger turned CAM turned striker SpicyBeatle from Lazio. Spicy earns his second ever SL TOTS in his first full season at striker with contributions of 30 goals (T-3rd), 11 assists, 36 key passes, 67 passing points, and 5 MOTM in 35 games. Lazio was perhaps the surprise team of the season in PCN and their top ranked offense and top 4 finish certainly wouldn’t have been possible without the emergence of this PCN OG at striker in S11.
